I’m Kelly Presley, the owner and grower at Copper Fox Flowers, a unique, small-scale flower farm in Wethersfield, Connecticut.

The heart of our mission is to bring people beauty and joy through our local flowers that are grown safely and sustainably. We produce fresh, gorgeous blooms and are committed to using responsible farming practices and materials that keep us and the environment healthy.

Why flowers? I blame the lilacs. As a kid, I played on the swing my grandfather hung between two giant lilac bushes. The fragrance pulled me right into the flower world and I’ve been growing them for as long as I can remember. Now it’s become my full time job.

After decades working in environmental conservation and raising a family alongside my husband, I wondered what I should do next.

I wanted to commit to something that brings people happiness and an appreciation of natural beauty. Flowers it is!

I set my sights on building a thriving flower flower farm and dived into every book and workshop I found on the topic. Spreading joy through flowers became my passion and Copper Fox Flowers launched in 2024.

There’s no turning back and I’m thrilled to share the floral bounty with you!

Come visit our flower farm stand at 463 Wolcott Hill Road when we open in mid to late April or get yourself a bouquet subscription in our convenient online store.

Why Copper Fox?

Wondering what’s behind the name? It’s a question we get often.

The land where our house and flower farm are situated is also home to a family of foxes. We began crossing paths within weeks of our arrival.

First it was one fox visiting. Then it became two. After denning season, kits emerged and frolicked among the rows of flowers, often in a group of three. When I work in the garden the foxes observe, occasionally hopping over the fence to get a closer look or nap in the shade of the sunflower patch.

In addition to being my garden companions who normally watch from afar, this crew has naturally kept down the rodent population, even keeping the woodchucks at bay. It’s been a win-win situation! Well, except for when the youngsters decided the irrigation lines were playthings and chewed holes in them - but we’ll still chalk it up as an overall win.

When it was time to select a business name, Copper Fox Flowers was the perfect fit.
